James is a director for the financial valuation practice. He provides financial consultative services in support of mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.  He performs business valuations for numerous healthcare entities, including health systems, acute-care and specialty hospitals, dialysis centers, physician group practices, ambulatory surgery centers and multiple joint venture arrangements.  James also has extensive experience with healthcare regulatory issues including fraud and abuse, certificates of need, accreditation, and licensure.

James first joined American Appraisal in 1999.  Previously, he was a healthcare specialist with the Atlanta law firm Long, Aldridge & Norman, LLP, and a healthcare consultant for Medical Management Associates, Inc.  He has also served as an administrator for the Transplant and Nephrology Programs at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and Clinics and as director of urological services for Georgia Baptist Medical Center. James has also worked with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services.
