Jeff is a director for the real estate and related assets practice. He has extensive experience with the valuation of investment and user-based specialized real estate. He has completed assignments for purposes including property tax, financial reporting, financing, purchase or sale, insurance, fair rental, tax reporting, condemnation, and donation.
Jeff’s valuation experience includes all types of industrial property, Class A office buildings, regional malls, neighborhood and community shopping centers, apartments, hotels, and daily-fee and private golf facilities. He has appraised land holdings including farms and ranches, single-family residential subdivisions, commercial subdivisions, commercial urban properties, and conservation easements. He is a certified general appraiser in many US states.
Special-purpose property valuations he has performed include a professional sports stadium, cemeteries, nursing homes, outpatient surgical clinics and mini storage facilities. He also has substantial experience in agribusiness-related property including food processing facilities, dairies, bulk storage, farms, ranches and beef and pork production facilities. Jeff has completed assignments in more than 30 states.
Jeff performs advisory services including litigation support, appraisal review, market research, and appraisal management. He has testified as an expert witness in federal bankruptcy court concerning an apartment complex in Odessa, Texas; given deposition on an appraisal of an industrial building in Sydney, Ohio; and assisted in condemnation assignments for the Texas Department of Transportation.
Jeff joined American Appraisal in 2000. Previously, he was a manager in the Dallas office of Arthur Andersen LLP. He has also worked with Dallas-based real estate valuation companies Wilson K. Mason Company, Integrated Evaluation, and Harvey Cornwell and Associates.
