John is a director of the financial valuation practice for the Oceania region. He has more than 12 years of experience in corporate finance and advisory roles, valuing businesses of all sizes for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, taxation, acquisition and group reconstruction.  He has significant experience of undertaking business and intangible asset valuations to meet the requirements of Australian and International Accounting Standards, as well as ATO requirements. John also specialises in the valuation of infrastructure assets, with experience across a broad range of asset classes.

John was a founding member of American Appraisal’s Sydney office in 2008.  Previously, he spent a number of years with PwC’s Corporate Finance division in Sydney.  He also spent two years in London as an adviser to UK energy regulator Ofgem, gaining significant direct exposure to the infrastructure sector.
