Junya is a senior vice president for the real estate advisory practice. He has completed approximately 400 valuations of primarily commercial and industrial properties across a broad range of industries throughout Japan.  During his time with American Appraisal, he has performed or reviewed valuations of commercial, industrial, and large residential properties totaling approximately ¥500 billion.

Junya participated in the translation of USPAP 2004 and Real Estate Finance and Investments; Risks and Opportunities, and published these books.

Junya joined American Appraisal in 2003. Prior to joining American Appraisal, he was a junior manager and real estate appraiser for Japan Real Estate Consultant Inc. in Tokyo.  In this capacity, he completed appraisals of large- and medium-sized commercial and industrial properties for accounting firms and Japanese institutional firms. He also worked with Real Estate Valuation Center Ltd., performing estate appraisals of large- to medium-sized commercial properties for foreign capitalized investment banks for reasons of due diligence and for Japanese regional banks for collateral purposes. He has also assisted Murata Real Estate Appraisal Inc. in Aichi, Japan, with appraisals for local public bodies.
