Kimberly Russell

Kim is a managing director of the northeast financial valuation practice and a director of the solvency and fairness opinion practice. She specializes in business enterprise, equity, and intangible asset valuations for various purposes including M&A, debt financing, bankruptcy, litigation support, tax planning, purchase price allocation and other tax and financial reporting requirements.

In addition, she provides financial analyses and business valuations for public and private companies for purposes of fairness and solvency.

Kim has served domestic and international clients in a variety of industries.  She is experienced in valuing and determining the remaining economic lives of various intangible assets, including:

  • Trade names
  • Patents
  • Licenses
  • In-process research and development
  • Copyrights
  • Computer software and technology
  • Core deposits
  • Noncompetition/nonsolicitation agreements
  • Customer-related intangible assets

Kim joined American Appraisal in 2002 as a manager. She was promoted to director in 2004 and to her current position in 2009.  Previously, she served as a manager in the New York and Chicago offices of Arthur Andersen LLP’s valuation practice.  Prior to that, Kim worked for a large money-center financial institution in its leveraged finance group.
