Peter leads the restructuring practice in the United Kingdom. Prior to his current role, he spent 34 years as a senior banker in corporate and leveraged finance, restructuring and recovery work. He spent the last 12 years at Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director and head of corporate counterparty risk for the EMEA region since 2008. He was acting Regional Chief Credit Officer, EMEA and Chief Credit Officer for the UK Investment Bank (Credit Suisse International) for the first half of 2013. For the last three years, he was also responsible for approval of reputational risk matters at the bank and director of a number of wholly owned subsidiaries.
He is well known in the restructuring market, having spent the first half of the 90s at Barclays in its Lending Services Section dealing with high-profile cases such as Heron and Queens Moat House. He has subsequently dealt with a variety of complex restructurings including ABB, Corus and Swissair
He chaired the Insol Lenders Group from 2002-2004, having been on the Steering Committee since 1996.
