Tim is the senior managing director of the industrial valuation practice. In addition to client service, his responsibilities involve practice management, participation on the firm’s global advisory board, and global coordination and standardization of personal property valuation work.

Tim has been active in the valuation industry since 1989.  Although responsible for equipment and personal property matters, he also has substantial experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects.  Most of his client service work involves financial and tax matters for US and international valuation standards, and he directs the firm’s thought leadership with respect to tangible assets.

Over the past 20 years, Tim developed his experience amongst a broad range of valuation needs including purchase price allocations, liquidation studies, personal property tax assessments, management planning consulting, leasing and asset-based lending, asset life analyses and fixed asset management.

During his career, Tim has taught valuation and management courses and has made presentations on topics such as foreign tax studies, asset impairment, and valuation depreciation and obsolescence.

Tim joined American Appraisal in 2004 and was appointed to his current position in 2005.  Previously, he was with DoveBid and with Arthur Andersen for more than seven years, holding similar leadership positions.  Early in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young and Valuation Research Corporation.
